All things Ayn Rand
on Wednesday 13 January 2010
by Wendy McElroy

In introducing a new "upstart, Gen Y, libertarian think tank", The Prometheus Institute, the founder makes a point of stressing the differences between its philosophy and that of Ayn Rand.

The Concord Monitor runs a thoughtful joint-review by Carlos Lozada of the two recent biographies on Ayn Rand. Excerpt: "Now, two new beautifully timed Ayn Rand biographies - appearing just as the financial crisis and Obamanomics have sparked interest in her defense of pure capitalism - offer ammunition for fans and skeptics alike."

A headline in Yahoo News declares: Conservative Libertarian's Comeback. Excerpt: "The philosophical casualty of the Great Recession was supposed to be libertarianism. But signs to the contrary are thriving."

John Stossell's FOX blog post Atlas Shrugged II with details on how you can view his segment on Ayn Rand which apparently is not available on the Web, only through viewing the broadcast's re-airing.

Meanwhile, here are Stossell's poll results re: "who is the modern day Wesley Mooch?"
